What it does

Supplier spreadsheets often use different column names, inconsistent price formatting, extra whitespace, duplicate rows, and missing values. CatalogEaze focuses on those repetitive cleanup tasks before the file reaches Shopify.

Important: CatalogEaze validates the workflows it currently supports; it does not promise that every export will be accepted by Shopify.

The workflow

  1. Upload a CSV.
  2. Let CatalogEaze suggest column mappings.
  3. Review or change the mappings.
  4. Apply cleaning and normalization rules.
  5. Run validation and review warnings or blocking issues.
  6. Download the resulting Shopify-oriented CSV.

Who it is for

The first target workflow is ecommerce operators who repeatedly receive supplier catalog exports and need to prepare them for Shopify. The product is intentionally narrower than a general ERP, PIM, or ecommerce platform.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use CatalogEaze for one-off cleanup?

Yes. It also becomes more useful when the same supplier file format appears repeatedly because saved workflows can reduce repeated setup.

Does CatalogEaze guarantee Shopify will accept my file?

No. Shopify has workflow-specific rules and dependencies. CatalogEaze checks the rules implemented in the product and identifies issues it can detect; it cannot guarantee Shopify acceptance.

Can CatalogEaze replace ChatGPT for CSV cleanup?

For one-off tasks, a general-purpose AI assistant can be an alternative. CatalogEaze is designed around a repeatable workflow: consistent mappings, cleaning rules, validation and export for a defined ecommerce destination.
